Sure, not as many apps as iPhones/Androids, but it still has the best keyboard!

I don't agree it's the best BB ever - that goes to BB Bold 9000 in my opinion - if your priority is business on the move. Reasons? 2 convenience keys as opposed to 1, MUCH better battery life, option to set browser ui string to internet browser as opposed to mobile platform, and finally, better apps due to lack of platform variation (leading to developer lag) and regretably the good old days when RIM were on their game. Bold 9900 = style over practicality

I have owned and been satisfied with blackberry phones for the past 6 years aware of the limitations and benefits that BB phones present. The Blackberry 9900 is the WORST model so far. No wonder RIM stock is going down the tubes. The battery of the 9900 lasts no more than 6 hours if lucky. The software freezes unexpectedly often and the reception signal continuously disappears and have to wait to get reception again in any location for no reason at all.
SHAME ON YOU RIM, I am very disappointed and will definitely shift over to iPhone 5.

I had BB’s for years with the Bold 9000 being my last BB two years ago. I switched to iPhones and have had up to three of them including the 4S purchased recently.
I have sold two; given the 4S to my wife and purchased the BB Bold 9900 after using it for a day. It is by far the BEST BB made to date; fast intuitive touch screen (though small compared to the iPhones and Droids) the absolute best keyboard of any smartphone I have ever used; and OS7 is fine – more than useable checking the net etc. Messaging is fantastic (BBM

Having received the new Blackberry Bold 9900 today I am happy to report that most of the major flaws of the previous Bold family have been fixed. The web browser is snappy and responsive, the touchscreen is easy to use, fluid and a delight (no doubt because of the Snapdragon CPU). The phone is very thin for a Blackberry and the fact that it's got a touchscreen as well is particularly impressive given the brick-like feel of the Torch. The camera is a huge step forward from the camera in my old 9700, however, it still has a way to go to match up to the superior iPhone 4 camera (and most likely the iPhone 5 that is forthcoming). The major strength, as always with Blackberry, is the keyboard which is a return to form. The keyboard is the same size and feel that we had in the old Bold 9000 and it's fantastic!
For Blackberry users, the Bold 9900 is amazing and represents a great deal of engineering and research by RIM to produce a phone that is functional, stylish and a joy to use. For users of iPhone and Android however, RIM has yet to make a phone which is as comprehensive or as forward thinking as iOS and Android are. RIM has a ready made consumer pool for its phones; we all love Blackberrys and I personally wouldn't move to another manufacturer. However, RIM fails to develop phones that will make users want to switch from Android or iOS and that's where the money is. It is my feeling that although the Bold 9900 is a huge step forward, anyone switching from iOS or Android will most likely miss some of the features they've come to know and love in their previous platform.
I highly recommend this phone to anyone with an older Blackberry - get it and you won't look back. For iOS and Android users I'd recommend borrowing a friend's phone to test drive it first because you'll either love Blackberry or think it's antiquated and a touch passé.

I used it for the first time today and like it a lot. It combines things I like about the Bberry with things I like about the iPhone, making it a better communication/business tool than an iPhone. I'm not much for apps about roller coasters or unhappy birds. It handles calls, emails, contact info, IMs, and web browsing nicely, in a more elegant and slimmer package than the thicker, clunkier iPhone. I'm very happy with it, it hits a sweet spot.
